week 7 positive: the weekend.

I can’t pick just one thing for this past week’s positive. Because we has such a lovely weekend! Here are the highlights. 

Week 7 positive: the weekend

+ Bike test. Following a two-month offseason and last Tuesday’s five-minute bike test, I was sure my critical power was gonna be looooow. But, five minutes into my 20-minute test on Saturday, I felt stronger than expected. And, with five minutes to go, I knew I’d started too conservatively. While it’s not where I’d like it to be, it’s higher than anticipated. Upward! Lots of fun, hard work ahead. Still chasing the light and really big dreams + goals. 

+ Finley’s fourth birthday! It seems like last Valentine’s Day that my sweet niece Finley was born. We rang in her fourth birthday with Mojo Monkey donuts and pizza and watched her open a pile of presents in about three seconds. Oh, to be a kid again. 

+ Luma’s four months old! She’s been a lot of work, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. She currently loves exploring the backyard, devouring bully sticks, running hot laps around the house, and eating alllllll the peanut butter. 

+ We found our Property Brothers house. You know, the house Jonathan and Drew show that’s absolutely perfect – and, double the homeowner’s budget. Fingers crossed we find a fixer upper that we can turn into our dream (Property Brothers) home.
