What a weekend! It felt luxuriously long, full of potential (hello, 2017!) and was filled with all of my favorite things.
Highlights included:
+ All the snuggles and a shivery winter walk with Luma. I can’t get enough! And, I don’t think Nick can, either. She’s such a little love – and, when she’s not sleeping velcroed right next to us (which is most of the time), she’s a bit of a terror. Zoomies all around the house! It’s hilarious and adorable ♥
+ Ringing in 2017 and also celebrating Christmas with my family. What a fantastic way to close out the year (even if there was a bit too much whiskey involved…!). I wouldn’t want it any other way. And, because we weren’t home-home for Christmas, we celebrated with turkey, holubsi (Ukrainian rice rolls) and smorbakkels, and then watched Finley open all the presents. Because that’s what the holidays are all about – the kids!
+ Training again. My six-week offseason felt endlessly long (maybe because it was the laziest?!), so I’ve been itching to get back at it. And, I did today with a short run and some functional strength (that’s going to hurt tomorrow). Yay for a schedule and green boxes in TrainingPeaks again!
Lots more to come on the blog this year 🙂
