Since starting triathlon and logging big training weeks, my morning beauty regimen has been dramatically simplified. Because who has time?! That, and I really like lollygagging over my morning double shot espresso for far longer than I should.
Gone are the blow dryer and flat iron days (and shaving my legs every day!). Not only has it been incredibly freeing to ditch the lengthy (and super annoying) beautifying process, I’ve learned that less is more – and, that I actually like my air dried hair!
Here are my top 10 beauty must-haves for my quick morning routine… start to finish in 15 minutes flat (20 with a shower!)! 1. One Love Organics skin savior. One of my favorite products! This organic plant-based moisturizer doubles as a makeup remover. Bonus: It smells amazing and lasts forever (I’ve used this jar since February).
2. RMS Beauty living luminizer. Hellooooo, gorgeous dewy skin!
3. Tarte Amazonian clay mineral bronzer in park ave princess. Love the natural glow of this bronzer! Gives me just enough sun-kissed color, even in the Minnesnowta winter.
4. Tarte cheek stain in sheer berry rose. Blends in and sets quickly, giving you that natural just-pinched-your-cheeks look.
5. Cover Girl brow and eye makers pencils in midnight brown. I stash these inexpensive eyebrow pencils everywhere (because genetically imperfect eyebrows).
6. NARS liquid eyeliner stylo in black. Shame on me, but I occasionally sleep in my eye makeup (only on weekends!). This liner doesn’t budge when I do and even stays put during sweaty swimbikerun sessions.
7. Benefit creaseless cream shadow in skinny jeans. This pewter color has been part of my routine for years. A little goes a long way, and it doesn’t crease through hours of wear (even after sleeping in it!).
8. L’Oreal Voluminous original mascara in black. I’ve tried a bazillion mascaras and always come back to this one. Thicker lashes in a couple coats.
9. One Love Organics body oil. I rotate between the lavender daily body serum and Vitamin C. Lavender because lavender (one of my favorite scents). And, the Vitamin C: Summer in a bottle. Slather it on!
10. Davines hair oil. Since I ditched the blow dryer, I also ditched all hair products… except for this oil. Perfect for super soft and shiny locks.
Happy (simplified) beautifying, friends!

I am a total product whore and have no shame. Lol! Thanks for sharing these lovelies! The moisturizer looks divine and I’m a HUGE fan of Benefit cosmetics. I wish I could air dry the hair but it’s just so frizzy! Florida humidity is a bitch.
Love this list Erin! I need to check out the One Love and RMS products, they sound great!
Erin, do you use a special shampoo or product for your hair after swimming? I am trying to figure out the best way to keep my hair healthy with all the exposure to chlorine. My hair hates chlorine.
Kristen… one tip that I heard and now do all the time is.. I wet my hair in the shower BEFORE getting in the pool. Your hair will absorb the fresh water and then won’t absorb as much of the chlorine when you get in the pool.
Yes! I use(d) Triswim shampoo and conditioner! Good stuff and keeps my hair soft and green-free 🙂 but, sadly, I forgot it at the pool last week and someone kept it. Boo 🙁 picking more up today! Prior to that I was using Bumble and bumble, which also worked great!
I put conditioner in my hair before I put on my swim cap!
Such good timing, I’ve been looking for new beauty products to simplify my morning routine! I will definitely try the hair oil you recommend here… no time for blow drying these days, I rather get 10 mins extra of sleep! Also, I LOVE tarte products and have been meaning to buy one of their cheek stains:)
Going to have to find #1, 2, and 3!!
I’m going to find #1 and try it, Erin! Thanks! Also, do you have a suggestion for a good sunscreen? Do you use sunscreen daily? Love reading your posts!
