thankful.

Before we sit down to four turkeys (yes, that’s happening at today’s festivities), I wanted to say a few thank yous. I’m one lucky girl, and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the happy and love in my life.

Where to start? Thank you will never be enough. You’re the very best and bring out the best in me. Every day – even when you leave your clothes all over the floor 😉 – I have to pinch myself that I get to come home to you 🙂

Mom + Dad

Without you, I wouldn’t be here (duh:)) and definitely wouldn’t be who I am today. Thank you for gently guiding me, for your advice + support, and for showing me what it’s like to love. And, happy anniversary – 37 years! – this past Tuesday!

Grandma + Grandpa

Afternoon tea, sour cream cookies, hours of Scrabble, handwritten letters, nuggets of wisdom… I live for these moments with my grandparents, and I am so thankful we still share them.

Sista

Thank you for being such an amazing sister. You inspire me every single day – you’re a stellar momma, fashionista and wicked talented designer + photographer – and even though you’re my little sis, I look up to you more than you probably realize. 

Finley

This little bundle of sweetness arrived on Valentine’s Day and changed my life. Auntiehood is wonderful, and I cannot wait to watch this little girl grow up!

Mary

Nick’s mom, Mary, is a gem. She hauled our bikes from Minnesota to Whistler and back, is a super Sherpa + supporter, and is one of the most generous and caring people I know. Thank you!

This body

Able and healthy, it’s carried me far this year – to my first Ironman start and finish line! – and, I am so thankful for it (especially after January’s visit to the cardiologist).

Learning + growing

From a new gig at a fantastic company to testing the limits of my body, there’s been plenty of learning and growing this year. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’ve learned a lot about not only myself, but also how the world works. I am grateful for these opportunities.
