Wow.
What. A. Day!
Three days out, I’m still a little shocked that Sunday happened. The day’s a blur – it went by so fast! – but the pieces I do remember were awesome!
I am an iron{wo}man!
Official results: 11:51:29 / 12th AG / 108th female.
Thank you, THANK YOU, for all the support, well wishes and kind words! My heart is full of gratitude! I couldn’t have made it to my first ironman finish line without all of you. Sunday was an incredible day… when can I race 140.6 again?! 😉
Race recap to come soon!

Two-thirds of the blow-by-blow is up! Thank you, Julia!
I agree with Hyedi, this is such a monumental achievement that only a small group of people, now you included, have done. CONGRATULATIONS!
I also am I’m excited for the recap, but I realise you’re still away, so I will be patient 🙂

AMAZING! You are awesome! Congrats!
Thank you, friend!
I agree with what everyone else said. I CAN. NOT. WAIT. to read all about it. You are amazing! I still think back to our days at the newspaper together and how far you’ve come, well, how far we’ve both come, I guess. I may not have shared this back then, but you really left an impression on me. I have always felt this connection with you. You remind me so much of my sister, Donna, with your strength and perseverance. And even though back then you may have come across sometimes as this insecure young lady who was unsure of what she really wanted, I knew inside there was a confident, strong, passionate, determined, persistent, set-her-sights-on-a-goal-and-achieve-it kind of gal. You will always be someone I admire. You are more than an Iron[wo]man…you are my hero! Thanks, erin, for being you!
Aww, thank you, Celeste! That means a lot 🙂 We both have come a long way since the echo, haven’t we? So proud of you and all your accomplishments and reaching for your goals. It’s been such a fun journey to watch. And, I know you’ll continue to set new goals and crush them! You have Donna’s strength and perseverance, too, and I know she’s so proud of you 🙂
Congrats!! I am a local Minneapolis triathlete and have been following your IM journey through your blog (though haven’t ever commented before). Truly an amazing accomplishment! You trained hard and deserve to soak up every second of it. Like everyone else, I look forward to reading your recap!
Thanks so much, Kendra, for the well wishes and following along! I always wonder who’s reading 🙂 Fun to “meet” another MSP triathlete! What did you race this year?
