After a lot of discussion, some hesitation, and the grace and generosity of two of the most amazing people on the planet, this happened yesterday…
Registration for IRONMAN Canada 2013 in Whistler is official.
OFFICIAL.
Whoa…!
I’m a little nervous already – and, keep pinching myself that I’m actually going to do an ironman – but mostly ecstatic to race with my partner in crime at the first-ever 140.6 in Whistler. And, I can’t thank my parents enough for this incredible opportunity… truly the best birthday and Christmas present ever 🙂

Awesome!! I’m hoping to do that one in 2014…looking forward to your race report next August! 🙂
Thanks, John! Awesome… you definitely should do it in 2014! Is there one on the 2013 calendar, too? 🙂
I have a three sprints and an Oly planned for 2013, maybe a 70.3 depending on how I do on the other races. Also a full marathon on the docket for next September. That’s why I figure 2014 for my first full 140.6 and maybe Kona in 2015. 🙂
Sounds like your 2013 is shaping up nicely! I say go for the 70.3, too 🙂
I will be rooting for you along the way. I cant wait to read posts about your training!
There will be plenty of them! Thanks, dear! 🙂
