Other than a visit to the cardiologist, it was a really good week training-wise. I logged my biggest running mileage week in ages – five runs for 18.75 miles! – including a great evening run down Summit with Nick and Sonia and a chilly Sunday morning run along the Mississippi with Jen and Johnny. Running is so much more fun when done with friends!

After a kick ass inverse pyramid interval spin at #pedal4pancakes at Urban Tri on Saturday morning, I blissed out on my mat at lululemon Grand Avenue ambassador Amelia‘s C2 vinyasa at CorePower. I was a bit apprehensive about practicing given the last vinyasa class I went to I nearly raced the from the room halfway through. But, the cozy class was exactly what I needed. #yogalove

And, Friday officially marked the start of my Ironman Canada training! Coach Joe sent my first few days of workouts via Training Peaks – a cool format and communication tool with your coach, but I’m still a little partial to my training spreadsheet 🙂 Regardless, I’ve been diligently logging my workouts in both locations.

This week’s non-training highlights…

I knit a circle scarf! The last time I knit was… hmm… eight years ago, I think! But, it came back quickly after watching a couple tutorials on YouTube. I used this swirling cowl pattern from ravelry and a malabrigo rasta yarn, a super soft merino wool I picked up at the Yarnery. I will definitely make another circle scarf (or five!) before winter is over. A Minnesota girl can’t have too many scarves!

Those are some great group shots. I often think about sneaking my cell phone into yoga for some action shots. And you look much better in my post yoga glow than I do : ) Hope you have another fantastic week!

I only occasionally bring mine in, and when I do, it’s off and upside down under a towel 🙂

Hope you’re having a great week, too!

Let’s go for a run or get coffee (or both!) and I’ll fill you in! I’m gone most of next week, but around after that!

cute scarf Erin! makes me want to get crafty again. Isnt it nice to slip away to a warm studio? I like running and weights, but its in yoga that I truly feel good and connected.

Thanks, dear! It was super easy to make.

I’m with ya… my yoga mat is where I feel most at home (well, and cycling, too) 🙂
